Why Philip Andrew

Most firms will not tell you the price. We publish ours.

That is not a gimmick. It is the clearest signal we can give you about how the whole relationship works: no hourly meter, no surprise invoice, no discovery call whose real purpose is to size you up before naming a number.

Fixed fees, quoted in writing. Florida licensed CPA.

What people actually complain about with their accountant

After enough of these conversations, the same three things come up every time.

One

They cannot get a straight answer on price

Hourly billing makes every question a decision about whether it is worth the money. So clients stop asking, problems go unmentioned, and the relationship becomes a once-a-year transaction instead of an advisory one.

Two

They never speak to the CPA

They meet a partner during the sale and then the file goes to someone else. Questions go into a queue.

Three

They only hear from them in March

By the time the return is being prepared, every decision that could have changed the outcome has already been made. The work is accurate and the timing is useless.

How pricing works hereFour steps, and you know the number at step two.
1
Answer a few questionsEntity type, revenue, states, rentals, K-1s, payroll. The same questions we would ask you on a call, answered in about two minutes.
2
See a real starting price on screenNot a range designed to get you on the phone. The actual figure our pricing produces for a scope like yours.
3
We review your documentsPrior returns, current books, entity paperwork. This is where a quote becomes a fixed fee rather than an estimate.
4
Fixed fee confirmed in writingBefore any work begins. The invoice matches the number you agreed to, and no hourly meter runs in between.
Best Price Guarantee: the published price is our best price. Same scope, same price, every client. If you already hold a lower written quote for comparable work, we will beat it by 10 percent.

How we are set up differently

Deliberate choices, not features.

Prices published, fees fixed

Our pricing is on the website and our quote tool gives you a real starting number in about two minutes. The final fee is confirmed in writing before work begins, so the invoice never surprises you.

You work with the CPA

Your file is not handed to a preparer you never meet. The licensed CPA whose name is on the door is the one reading it and the one you talk to.

A modern stack, deliberately

QuickBooks Online, Ramp, Bill.com and Gusto, connected properly. Automating the mechanical work is what makes it possible to close books on live data instead of month-old statements.

Planning in the year it counts

Entity elections, retirement funding, equipment timing and estimated payments all have deadlines that are not April 15. We work on the calendar those decisions actually run on.

No billable-hour meter

Call us. Ask the question.

Plain-English explanations

You should be able to repeat back why you are doing something and what it saves you. If an explanation only makes sense to another accountant, it is not finished.

The stack

We already work in the tools you use

Connected properly, so your books close on live data instead of month-old statements. Where we hold a certification, we say so.

Worth knowing

What that means in practice

  • You know the cost before you commit. Answer a few questions in the quote tool and a starting figure appears on screen.
  • Best Price Guarantee. Our published price is our best price, and we will beat a lower comparable written quote by 10 percent.
  • Your books close on a schedule, reviewed by a CPA. Not categorized and left.
  • You get told what will not work. A meaningful part of this job is talking clients out of positions they read about online.
  • The technology is ours to manage, not yours. You should not have to become a QuickBooks administrator to have accurate books.
  • You are not too small to be worth attention. We work with owner-operated businesses, typically between $500,000 and $10 million.

General information, not advice for your situation. Outcomes depend on facts we would need to review with you.

Common questions

Why do you publish prices when almost no firm does?

Because the alternative wastes everyone’s time. You should be able to find out whether we are in your range without booking a call, and we should be able to spend our sales conversations on scope rather than on price discovery. It also keeps us honest: when the number is public, it has to be defensible.

How does the Best Price Guarantee work?

The price you see is our best price, not an opening position, and it is the same price every client with that scope pays. If you already hold a written quote from another licensed firm for comparable scope and service level at a lower price, we will beat it by 10 percent. The comparison has to be like for like, because a quote for a return prepared from books nobody closed is not the same product.

Are you actually the person doing the work?

On the judgment-heavy parts, yes. Planning, review, entity decisions and anything requiring a licensed opinion sit with the CPA. Routine data work is automated or handled by the stack, which is the entire point of running a modern one. What you will not get is a file quietly reassigned to someone you were never introduced to.

What if we are already with another accountant?

Transitions are routine and happen more often mid-year than people expect. We handle the request for prior-year returns and depreciation schedules, and we tell you honestly if we think staying put is the better call. Not every firm that is a poor fit for you is a poor firm.

Do you only work with Florida businesses?

We are Florida based and licensed here, which suits clients who benefit from no state income tax. We file in other states as needed and work with clients across the country.
